Game Dinner Blue and White WH Grindley

Porcelain by WH Grindley, with a blue work download version of "9 The Hay Wain" by British artist John Constable. It is part of Grindley china series called "Scenes After Constable", in which he is inspired works of the famous artist. edges the board has trimmed scalloped with an embossed motif braid and clovers that contains a stencil border or transfer-art rich flowers blue. the central scene shows a cart pulled by a horse (or "Wain") fording a river flowing through a beautiful house, like a man on the opposite side stops to let his horse drink from the stream.

The plate is marked "The Hay Wain After Constable" below the image. On the back is marked with a brand of Grindley sail ship and a common written inscription, "Scenes after Constable". to make, in blue, it is a tall ship in a square frame with Grindley and England underneath. This release of the board between 1936 -1954.
